Hi, I’m A Mac. And I’m College Reject?
August 9th, 2006 @ 11:13 pm CST, 104 words by Evan BroderSo, does anyone else find the combined message of Accepted and the Get a Mac ads to be rather amusing?
I mean, I guess they’re saying that Macs will help you do stuff better, but you’ll be so busy creating cool videos in iMovie that you won’t get into Yale?
Maybe it’s a good thing I didn’t make the switch sooner…
In the list of other weird computer related things, Stephen Colbert showed his three favorite websites today on his show. I’m normally not a huge Colbert Report fan, but today was funny because, although he pulled out an HP laptop, the screenshots were taken in Safari

Maybe it’s just because we’re coming fresh off the admissions cycle, but I find the whole concept of “Accepted” incredibly dull, uncreative, and dumb. I mean, I fail to see how anyone can be drawn in by “When no college would accept him…he MADE ONE UP!!!” I don’t know. Just doesn’t sound very exciting to me.
You’re a Mac person? Really?

Well, sure, I’m sure it’s going to be a really stupid movie. I mean, at least the preview for The Perfect Score was funny.
“The SAT is racist!”
Anyway, yes, I am a Mac person. I got a MacBook Pro as my college laptop/graduation present and I haven’t really looked back.

Amen Broder; I got my MBP and I have not looked back once. The Mac world is a fantastic one indeed.
